Aranmanai Kaavalan (transl. Protector of the Palace) is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Selva Vinayagam. The film stars R. Sarathkumar and Sivaranjani in the lead roles. It was released on 25 February 1994.
Plot
The film revolves around Sakthi, a taxi driver in Mumbai, who fights for the Tamil community against the local rowdies who want to expel them from their area. He becomes a hero for the community after he kills the ruthless Amara Settu, who created conflicts between the Tamil people and Hindi people. He then meets Karpagavalli, the wife of the late founder of the Tamil Association of Mumbai, Sandanapandian. She invites him to her village Pasumpon, where she and her relatives are held prisoners by the heartless Duraipandi, who killed Sandanapandian and his family. Sakthi becomes the protector of the palace and challenges Duraipandi to free Karpagavalli and her family.
